There are a substantial number of very attractive self-catering holiday homes in the area which in view of the quality of the landscape, natural amenity and facilities of the immediate and wider area is hardly surprising. There are some second homes, which are perhaps unfortunately occupied only intermittently, although owners of these often contribute in various ways to the community and are of course made welcome. Some of these are also made available for occasional letting.
A large proportion of letting units are available for commercial holiday letting all year round now, particularly as the season has extended significantly over the past two decades. It is noticeable that many people return year after year using local facilities and helping sustain the local economy.
